One last performer of note, again, one of the resident company, is Madison Wilcox as the Baker’s Wife.  This character was perhaps the most complicated, most difficult, most flawed, and therefore, most interesting of the entire cast.  Madison had to portray a young woman whose greatest wish was to have a child and live happily ever after.  Unfortunately, the entanglement of several plots and everyone else’s desires, along with her own faults and temptations, brings this fairy tale ingénue tragically down to earth. (Ah, but I give away too much!)  Madison was very much up to this task of portraying this character She was comic when needed.  Emotional when needed.  Loving wife when needed.  Vixen when needed and tragic victim of her own desires. All these levels she blended seamlessly.  Wonderful role.  Wonderful actress!

Every time that Madison Wilcox opened her mouth as the Baker's Wife, whether in song or dialog, she was nothing short of superb.
